Good Friday 2026

The Substitution You Didn’t Deserve | Good Friday Sermon
Good Friday is more than a moment in history—it’s the turning point of eternity.
In this powerful message, “The Substitution You Didn’t Deserve,” we look at the heart of the Gospel through Isaiah 53:4–6, written 700 years before the cross. This passage reveals a truth that is easy to miss:
👉 Jesus didn’t just die… He died in your place.
The Bible tells us that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Our sin separates us from God, leaving us unable to fix what is broken. But at the cross, Jesus stepped in as our substitute.
In this sermon, we explore:
- He Took Our Burden – Jesus carried our grief, sorrow, and the weight of our sin
- He Took Our Punishment – He was pierced and crushed for our transgressions
- He Gave Us His Peace – Through His suffering, we are reconciled to God
- He Took Our Place Completely – Our sin was laid on Him so we could receive life
This is the Great Exchange:
✨ He took our sin → We receive His righteousness
✨ He took our punishment → We receive His peace
✨ He took our death → We receive His life
This message is a call to reflect, respond, and remember:
You are not carrying what Jesus already carried.
📍 Join us as we pause and reflect on the incredible grace, love, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
