A Spirit-Filled Church: Power, Proclamation, and Practice (April 26, 2026 Acts 2:33-41)

What does a Spirit-filled church actually look like?

In A Spirit-Filled Church: Power, Proclamation, and Practice, we walk through Acts 2:33–41 and uncover the foundation of the early church—and what it means for us today. Because Jesus is risen, exalted, and seated at the right hand of God, He has poured out the Holy Spirit, empowering His people to live transformed lives.

This sermon highlights three essential truths:

1. The Exalted Christ Pours Out the Spirit
Jesus is not dead—He is alive, reigning, and ruling as both Lord and Christ. His authority is absolute, and the presence of the Holy Spirit is evidence of His power and fulfilled promises.

2. The Right Response: Repent and Be Baptized
When the truth of the gospel confronts us, it demands a response. Repentance is not punishment—it’s grace. Baptism is the public declaration of a life changed by Jesus. Don’t ignore conviction—respond to it.

3. A Distinct and Set-Apart Life
The gospel calls us out of a broken and “crooked generation” into a new way of living. Following Jesus means surrender, transformation, and living differently from the world around us.

This message challenges us to ask:

  • Is Jesus just part of your life, or is He truly Lord of it?
  • When God’s Word convicts you, do you respond—or resist?
  • Are you blending into culture, or being set apart by the gospel?

👉 A Spirit-filled life begins with surrender to Christ’s authority.
👉 Conviction is not the end—it’s the beginning of transformation.
👉 Real faith is both personal and public.

Join us as we look at how the early church was marked by power, bold proclamation, and faithful practice—and how we can live the same way today.
